This was more than just a cake, this was celebrating a whole new lease on life. Because of a generous donor and skilled physicians, this customer has been able to live 29 years longer! Such a miracle and a blessing!
But realistic cake huh? I love anatomy so much, I took it twice! 🤣 No, not that I failed the first time either. I was on the path to be in nursing, but my life took a sweet turn! Motherhood- birthday parties- cakes- cake for others- Food Network challenge and sugar artist competitions.
Was I out of my league when I was on the show? Most certainly! but I learned so many techniques from my fellow competitors and have used them since, (with this heart cake being no exception!)
This fudgy chocolate cake had blackberry swiss meringue buttercream inside, was covered in ganache, then fondant on fondant details, glossed out and airbrushed.
