my story
Hello! I’m Mandy, I love traveling, good food, and am always game for anything new and exciting. I’ve been baking for others since I was little. I would often throw my own birthday parties, and once for my 13th, I baked cakes as party favors for all my friends. I love creating fun art pieces with cake and impressing customers by bringing their visions to life!
A Slice Above The Rest
All my cakes and frosting are made from scratch from recipes and methods I have developed myself. I am proud of the quality of ingredients, and often will incorporate spices or flavorings I have acquired from my trips abroad. I’ve worked in the food service and hospitality industry for years and am current with my food handlers permit. Due to changes in Utah’s laws involving the sale of food prepared in a home kitchen, I have opted out of obtaining a cottage license.
I follow the same hygiene standards of a commercial kitchen, but am not restricted as to which ingredients I can or cannot use. Furthermore, additional actions have been taken to insure cleanliness during the pandemic. Such steps include frequent disinfecting, increased hand washing, the use of barriers, decreased foot traffic, the use of face masks, and contactless pick up.
Please note that this kitchen has not been officially inspected, and foods consumed from here may contain trace amounts of allergens. Even though I’m confident in my food handling cleanliness, its required that I suggest you consume these products at your own risk.
Food Network
I recently competed in Food network Challenge, Wizard of Oz cakes, and absolutely loved the experience. When Food network reached out to me, I was completely flattered; how was I even on their radar? With every phase of the process, I was so excited to have gotten so far, and then when I was selected, I was on cloud nine! The other contestants were amazing, and we have built such a fun bond together. I learned a lot and can’t wait to compete again!
